Arralis (now known as Reliasat) offers market-leading solution for communications and radar systems, specialising in the design and build of high frequency transceivers, RF mm-wave systems, sub-systems, and innovative antennas. Much of their technology is uniqure to the market, including patented antennas and exceptionally low-loss waveguide transitions
Arralis’ Previous System:
- Developing an RF chip using multiple pieces of equipment, including:
- Power meter
- Oscilloscope
- Power supplies
- Signal generator (sig-gen)
- All equipment was manually operated, making the testing process long and cumbersome.
Our Team’s Solution:
- Built a specialised HILTOP system using SCPI to connect to any external equipment needed.
- Enabled full automation of their testing process.
- HILTOP became their small batch production test solution.
- Testing is now initiated by scanning the chip’s barcode.
- Tests are pulled from a database, and each result is automatically saved to the same database.
